  • Gorge Robison and his wife Cindy, both of the Key Peninsula, were out on the Purdy Spit Thursday painting the welcome sign at state Route-302 and Goodrich Drive. The couple, who are the President and Secretary for the Key Peninsula lions, were part of the group’s trimming back of the brush that partially obscured the sign and were painting the distinctive sign to not only preserve it, but to put better coloring for an easy read.
